Prague castle & Gothic cathedral

Can you imagine a castle with an area as big as seven (7) football fields?  Prague Castle is said to be the biggest

castle in the world, with a history dating back to the mid-ninth (9th) century.  I thought The Old Town Square

was already old, but Prague Castle beats it by a century :)..

Gate of Giants.

(what would you do if these statues come to life? haha)

Matthias Gate  (the inscription is a listing of the Emperor’s titles).

Prague Castle  (Third Courtyard).

It was eerie…  ;))

Gothic Cathedral of St. Vitus  (it took nearly six centuries to build this!)

The large Rose Window above the entrance shows biblical scenes.

My brother was literally lying down on the floor when he took this pic. 🙂
